WhimseyBox!!

Hi! Just a quick note to let you guys know I didn't forget about you! There's been a little bit of crazy around here this week, so I'm taking it one day at a time.  Lots of personal issues, but my biggest complaint? My insurance company denied my hip surgery! I had it scheduled originally for October 16, so I'm really disappointed I can't just "get it over with!".  I'm working on the positive attitude about it, but its not easy.

On the crafty side of things, have you heard of WhimseyBox?

I came across it by accident one day, and jumped in with both feet. It's a monthly delivery service of random craft supplies. For $15, a magic blue box (no, not the Tardis, Whovians!) arrives at my door each month.  I thought at first it was completely frivolous...and then I realized I spend way more than that on craft projects and thrifting each month...and I like surprises too!

My first box arrived today. (The blue box is the outer packaging in case you were wondering).

I calmly finished ironing a Perler bead fish (to go with the octopus, of course, duh). Cleaned up beads and ran outside with my box all Gollum-style (wow, I referenced LOTR and Psy's Gangnam Style in one phrase...), clutching it to my chest away from anyone who might endanger its contents.

Then, I opened it.

It's like a sweet little gift to myself!

Stationary - Cards and Envelopes

Big Rubber Mat

Carving Tool

Spatula

Liquid Pigment Paint stuff 

(sorry, put the box in a safe locale to write this!)

Soooo........looks I'll be carving a stamp soon - just like A Beautiful Mess shared recently for their House Stamp!

I'm torn! What should I make!?  I want to stamp some fabric...got any ideas? There's a few milling about in my head, but I'd love some input!

By the way, no one asked me to write about WhimseyBox. I just think it's awesome. :D
