Speed Serger Training! And a Ballet Skirt!

I learned a handy lesson this week -

When your serger breaks, put your Etsy store on vacation until you learn how to use the new one.  Or else you'll be surprised when you get a custom order one day. !  Excited for the order - overwhelmed by the timing!

I needed a jump start in serger training, and I guess that did it!  Many, many, many broken lower looper threads later, we all now agree on how things should be done, and can now be efficient.

I can also inform anyone that even YOU can learn to thread the Huskylock s21. How can I say it with such certainty? If I can thread it a dozen times at 2am in low lighting, anyone can learn.  Just make sure you have your angled forceps/tweezers at your side.  They are your new fingers.

What was I working on?

A new Ballet Skirt!  Same colors, different size, custom order.

Finished product:

---I'm not actually sure why the pink layer looks so wonky.  I promise it's actually a smooth circle!  I wonder if it's because of how they both gather and ruffle a little differently.

I really like how it looks with a long tank top!  I think I might make one for me now, just so I can wear this outfit.  It's like a grown up tulle tutu.

Said skirt is now on its way to the buyer - I hope they like it!

Thanks for stopping by!
