KIWI Crate!

Today we were treated to a lovely gift - our very first Kiwi Crate! (Thanks Aunt Dian!)

If you haven't heard of Kiwi Crate, and you have crafty kids around you, you have to look into it.  You can order a one time gift, or make it a subscription - it's $20 a month.  At first, I thought it was a bit steep - but looking at the box - it's a great deal.  There's instructions, so if you have kids who can read, they can do it with little supervision. Everything is included for the projects involved.  So no rummaging through your craft supplies to put together a project.  It's a great way to keep kids happy, and they really get to be as creative as they want.

You can tell no one here was excited about it.

This month's box -

There were all sorts of goodies to make the projects.

So far, we've worked on one project - the decorative flower pot.  It kept us entertained for a good while.  Want to see the finished product?

The clay on the side is "vines" with "seeds" on it.  In case you were wondering, I was directed which things to color and with what colors.  I think there's more fun in bossing mom around than anything!

I think a Kiwi Crate is a great gift item, especially if you have little ones far away who need a gift.

Have a great weekend - I'm off to the Farmers' Market and to the Art/Craft Festival next door. Woohoo!

  1. I've never heard of this, but I'm glad I did! This is such a great idea--can't wait to get one for Ro!
