I've been sick since Sunday with some sort of stomach bug/food poisoning. I missed that concert for Pink Martini last night, my date with the Mr. before he went out of town. It's been fun, but I'm ready to get back to making stuff (and eating).
We're catching up on movies around here until I have enough energy and patience to do otherwise. It's amazing what lack of food does to your attitude.
I didn't have a chance to show you these pics, so I guess now or never, eh? We went to our local farmers' market (Sunset Valley Farmers' Market) the other day, since it was such a beautiful Saturday morning. This is a very small sampling of what there is to offer there this time of year. There are so many vendors for so many things - produce, handmade jewelry, local honey, kombucha, local pasta, local meats and cheeses...I could go on but I'm getting hungry. (That's a good sign, right?)
Mr. Tupelo makes the joke that we always go for fruits and veg and only come back with full bellies from the taco stand. This one, in fact. TacoDeli. You'd love them too for their special green hot sauce and black bean and papas (mashed potatoes) breakfast tacos. I'm not a big fan of eggs, so this is awesome for me.
We ate tacos while we listened to the woman performing on stage with her band, but ever since I got sick I can't remember her name! Anyone? It's driving me nuts! She was really good, and had a nice vibe about her. I want to say it was Megan something.
The boys were extra cute, holding hands while shopping around. We told them to hold hands walking in the street...but meant with each of us. Well, this works too (since the street is blocked off).
Well, turns out Mr. Tupelo was right. We left with full bellies and a bunch of celery. Oh well! We had a great time.
I hope to be back with something soon!
