Been busy over here!

No new projects today - I was out of town with my husband's family, celebrating his paternal grandparents 60th anniversary. Isn't that amazing?

Before that I was working my tail off trying to get a piano (!) for my boys for a reasonable price, and find an old sewing machine.  Both were successful ventures!

I'll post pics soon and let you know about Betsy (the machine) and her cleaning/oiling process. If you follow Tupelo Creative on Facebook you've already seen Betsy!

I have to say, I'm becoming a sewing machine enthusiast.  I'm intrigued by their inner workings, and how things have changed since their first manufacture.  I'm empowered by the discovery that I can fix and make pretty old machines, and I'm loving it.  Being able to restore something old and useful and make it beautiful and functional again....priceless.

If you have an older machine, check out Yahoo! Groups - my Kenmore, Elna, and new Singer machines have all been assisted by information you can find on these groups.  You can find parts, advice, and photos to help you out if you start on a "project" machine.

I'll be around - get your holiday shopping done yet?  Me Neither!!
