Goings on!

So part of my prolonged blog absence is injury related, most of you knew that. Nothing new on that front. Physical therapy isn't going well and I am inching closer to surgery.

But my other cause for absence? The infamous thing of the blog summer...the summer bucket list! I didn't know what I had signed up for on this thing! We found a list on another blog (landofnod) and for the first few days of break, my four year old had it read to him over and over and over again. I didn't know it at the time, but he was memorizing it. So every day, it's asked "what are we doing on the list today?". Well, hold your breath and check out what we've done so far. Keep in mind 99 percent of this has been with me on crutches!

Beach, make Popsicles, treasure hunt, swim, piƱata, telescope, cookout, planetarium, make ice cream, sidewalk chalk, picnic, fireworks, obstacle course, catch bugs, farmers market, sprinklers, sandcastle, make a robot, visit grandparents, cereal necklace, BBQ with friends, factory tour, and make pizza.

We added in the natural history museum, a minor league baseball game, the Alamo, and the Riverwalk.

So, you can see how it's the perfect storm of busy and need to rest that worked against me to keep me from my own projects! One day I will get back on the wagon, but I gave up fighting the tidal wave of summer and I'm just plotting my own course until school starts agin. Maybe then I can get into a routine again. Thanks for sticking around...I will try to keep it more lively around here! Any tips, tricks, recipes, outings you need help or ideas for? Drop me a line! And if you live in central Texas, and need someone to check out a kid friendly something or another, let me know...I am always looking for a good excuse to get out of the house. Just remember I am not hiking on crutches!

Ps - sorry for the terribly organized post. I'm resting up. On the couch and just have my iPad to blog on. Any tips? I find it a bit difficult to do.
